Beggars

It is not like
           the Devil or God
ever came begging at my door
   like they ever needed
                     my input
     or maybe they tune into
        my head with omnipotent radio
        receivers

 or maybe they wait
          to question me in
          person

      1. Oh, Job is great–it pits our perceptions of suffering against the perspective of the divine–a nice, intense read. I just love the part where God and the devil are hedging bets on whether he will curse God when bad luck is heaped upon him. Interesting read.

  1. Sometimes, you’d know the answer to that question. Sometimes, you won’t. But, if they wanted you to know, oh, you would very surely know. How won’t the platypus know when a shark is in a rage?
