Home Town

I will not write you love letters
or wonder how you now
part your hair, what people
you hold and if you blush

I will not worry who you bury
while I look into the mouth
of the sea, we have never been
lovers you and I, so I will not
worry over your spilt blue
coffee shops and superfluous
charity shops

I never felt comfortable
in your morning wandering
as you apply your make up
too much in the hurry
and the old school walk
you became to bloated
of people, of which some
you could not sustain

I will not write you letters
or enquire even if your doing well
my town, we have never been
lovers nor ever shall we be
