Distance

There is no denying it
distance is a bummer
but post modern tracks
lead to a town, a centre

this Amour that deals
me a confusion, of
I want her, in the old
song I would walk
500 miles, to fall down

at her door, but who
am I to wish such things
distance is a bummer
who am I, to wish such things

A short trip 400 miles
not impossible
not improbable
400 miles of trepidation

400 miles instant on the internet
chat programs but in physical terms
a hardship of want, Google maps
make it easy, but distance is
a bummer always
