Pay a man his worth (20 hour contract catch)

 

The sugar has gone
been dodo’d
fake mash for breakfast
soon the milk
will be extinct
the alcohol
went last night

Four days left
calling on a brother
to provide
monies for backy
papers, an’ filters

Getting caught
in a 20 hour contract
catch, I may well
have to repeat this month

The student loans
blundered twice
as much, and due
to administration
error

sixteen hours
are still due
but counteracted
by 20 hour catch

This is what happens when in retail
on a minimum wage
you just get screwed
and screwed again

well as soon as I get paid
I’m going to buy flavour
for the mash and
more noodles

all I ask is, pay a man his worth and on time
do not withhold
