Do Not Go Deeply Into That Good Fridge (Dylan Thomas Parody)

Do not go deeply into that good fridge,
Electricity would burn before the close of the door;
Rage, rage against the dying of the fridge light.

Though mushrooms at their cull know dank’s not right,
Because sweet corn is forked no sighting they
Do not go deep into that good fridge.

Bacon, the last wave by, crying no slight
Their frail slices might have danced edged grey,
Rage, rage against the dying of the fridge light.

Tuna now caught once swam the river in might,
And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way,
Do not go deep into that good fridge.

Cheddar, near death, greening not smelling right
But its to taste like melons some would say,
Rage, rage against the dying of the fridge light.

And you, my father, there on a midnight flight,
Curse, bless me now I drank all the milk, today.
Do not go deeply into that fridge tonight.
Rage, rage against the dying of the fridge light.

  1. OH!do not go gently into the fridge light if it fails who will save us from the midnight plight! It will not be the oven light he is too hot and only likes to fight , it will not be the microwave he likes to joke and so only acts like a knave. So do not go gently in to the good fridge the light is not omnipotent it only has the length of the bulbs life. Longevity is not it’s intent! 😉 xx
